About Visual Stress Diagnostics
Hi, I'm Kerry, Visual Stress Assessor at Visual Stress Diagnostics
based near Faringdon, Oxfordshire.

Visual Stress is a complex neurological condition whereby specific
wavelengths of light over stimulate neurones in the visual cortex
in the brain and this affects the way a person perceives written
text.
The use of coloured overlays or lenses can be used to filter out specific
wavelengths of light that affect the individual, thereby alleviating
symptoms making written information more accessible.
We carry out assessments over two stages in collaboration with Visual Stress Consultancy. The first stage, is a graded assessment which takes approximately one hour. A range of visual tasks are undertaken to determine symptoms experienced, severity of your condition and to diagnose the correct overlay to alleviate symptoms when reading. Stage one assessments are carried out by appointment at our main clinic in Oxfordshire although home visits can also be arranged. As part of the assessment, we offer advice and support to help you understand your condition and to help you make an informed decision regarding Stage Two Assessment.

We work closely with Lisa from Visual Stress Consultancy who carries out stage two assessments at the Nottingham Clinic or at Regional clinics which are held around the country throughout the year. A Stage two assessment is carried out to determine the correct hue, density and saturation of combined filters you need to eliminate or significantly improve the visual stress symptoms you experience. The consultation includes your lenses, all you need to supply is a frame. We have a small range of affordable designer frames should you wish to choose one on the day.
We offer support and advice throughout your journey with us and beyond, if you have any questions please do get in touch.
