Visual disturbance when reading is a common symptom of visual stress - flashes, movement, double vision, blurring and shadows are just some examples of the phenomena experienced.

The range of symptoms experienced by sufferers of visual stress can be vast; aversion to bright lights and car headlights, sensory overload, frequent headaches and eye pain, extreme tiredness and fatigue and struggling at school or work can all be associated with visual stress.
